Great sushi good service and reasonable prices. The house rolls are generous portions and the sushi martini app was really good.

This was a surprise to find this so close to WGV. First off I am not a Sushi fan...having lived in Japan I have never cultivated the taste for Sushi, so I usually avoid Sushi places. The Bistro portion of the restaurant is the real treasure in my book. I had the Yaki Udon (dry) and my wife had the chicken habachi. Both were perfectly prepared and well plated. We split a couple of veggy rolls and were content with the meal. When we want Japanese this will be our stop. The place is small but seems to always have room and offers take-out

I fell in love! Sushi was so beautiful I almost didn't want to eat! Great atmosphere! Exceptional service! If you aren't a sushi fan, they have other options so it's great for everyone! Small & cozy atmosphere!

I recently discovered this hidden delight! I wish the area had more restaurants with flavor like Tank! Tank offers Sushi as well as Hibachi and All Japanese fare. I have never jumped on the Sushi wagon, so my review is solely on the Japanese dishes! Being a girl with migraines, I can attest to the fact that no MSG is used in their food! My favorite is the Shrimp Hibachi, which is full of 12 fresh shrimp and veggies! It is so fresh and light! My fave app is the Crab Wontons(calorie free of course). The are just enough to satisfy you without being too heavy. All dinners are served with choices of rices salads, soups, etc. I always have leftovers for the next day! Check it out! Like me, you will wish you had found it previously!

Some friends and myself were in St. Augustine for a conference, and we wanted to avoid the hotel food for at least once meal. I looked around on Yelp, and found Sushi Bistro. "Hmmmm..." I thought to myself. We have 10 people who want to go eat, and we have two hours in which to do it... Might want to call ahead, just to make sure they can accomodate us. So I called roughly 45 minutes before we showed up (thankfully, we showed up when we did, since two very large groups showed up within 10 minutes of us getting there). Service was excellent, and the food was amazing. The seaweed salad was bangin'. Our group of 10 was in and out within an hour & 15 min, and that's only because they took their sweet time bringing us the checks. Had the checks been there sooner, we could have been in and out in an hour. Great food, attentive staff... Ya can't ask for much more. Check 'em out!

This place is a great hidden gem! It's in a shopping complex on the side. At first I thought it might not be open because the windows were blacked out. However, as soon as you open the door- you are welcomed right in! The service was prompt and the sushi was delicious! Highly Recommend!

This is the best sushi I have ever had. And this is from someone who ate sushi 4 days that week - this was the best spot! We came to St. Augustine for IMAX, and will now be looking for excuses to come here. If they have it on special - get the Christmas roll - amazing! The squid salad and godzilla roll were also really great - as was the Mochi ice cream. The sushi was so good, that we ordered another roll after we were finished eating just to try more!

Visiting from Orlando I found this place through yelp. Food was great!! We got five rolls to split: spicy shrimp, eel, crab, salmon, and smoked salmon. Each was very tasty! My favorite being the eel. The place is in a nice plaza and the inside is a small intimate feel. Decor is better than average sushi restaurant, but found it a little odd that they had sports center on all the tv's (not that I am complaining). Place had low lighting and several tables along with a sushi bar. They had low music in the background and it felt like a nice place to go on a date (or just to get some really good sushi). Staff is very friendly. I thought prices were very reasonable, bill was around $30 for an appetizer, 5 rolls, a soda, and a water. We had plenty of food between the two of us. Definitely recommend this place.

Hands down the best sushi I've ever had. Visited this place while on vacation and it was so good my husband and I had to make a repeat trip before we left. They have a pretty extensive food list if you are not a sushi lover, but I did not try any of those items! Prices are very reasonable, we had an edamame appetizer and five rolls to share and only spent $30. Staff is very friendly but some don't speak very good English.

We tried both the Sushi and their Chicken Katsu. Everything was really good. Even the kids were happy. The service was attentive and we didn't want for anything. We will be back!

My wife and I went here on a Friday night. I called to ask if it was busy, and LiLi (the hostess) said not yet. So when we got there a few minutes later (without actually making a reservation), she already had a table set for us! The sushi was just wonderful, in fact the best I've ever had. Helen our waitress was so nice, and it was just a perfect little restaurant. We will be back soon!

This sushi place is great! The quality of the fish is very good and the amount of food is an excellent value. We came at lunch and were thoroughly impressed. The maki rolls and nigiri were tasty and well made. The cuts of fish were fresh and the rolls well constructed. The restaurant also has a very friendly wait staff, many are foreigners, but their English is excellent and they are very nice people. Ask for Jennifer, she was lovely and very attentive! In addition, the place is very CLEAN with well-kept bathrooms. This visit was our first, but the next time we come to St. Augustine, Sushi Bistro will be one of the top places we plan to go.

Brought my 91 year old dad here this week. His first Japanes food experience. First visit here for us both. It won't be our last time!! Great experience all around! Service was excellent. Everyone was polite and helpful. Dad is in a wheelchair and they made him feel very comfortable. Very cute inside. Nice ambiance my dad mentioned! Lunch specials are priced right! I was in the mood for sushi and sashimi. They accommodated my off the menu request with only a $3 upcharge. Sweet. Dad had hibachi scallops. Both came with soup and salad. Dad tried the miso soup (first time ever) and loved it. Both lunches were outstanding!

By far the best sushi I've tried in Saint Augustine. The ambience was nice - dimly lit and subdued, casual and sophisticated. There was a ton of variety on the menu and the prices were similar to most other places I've been to. They take pride in their presentation. This will be my new go to place whenever I'm visiting the IMAX at World Golf Village.

Best Sushi in town. Hibachi meals are great too. Lunch prices are reasonable and well worth the money.

I did not expect much from this sushi restaurant, just because it seemed kind of out of the way. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their food and the vast selection of sushi options. I loved the sweet potato, mixed vegetable and tofu rolls. My wife raved about the hibachi and my daughters kids menu item was a huge portion for her. Okay, the service was spotty, drinks were rarely refilled, my sweet tea was inexplicable changed to coke, four sushi rolls were left off our order and were brought out late, but when they came out.....they were good.

In the outskirts of Saint Augustine and hungry--not in the mood to head back downtown, either--I looked on Yelp to see what sushi and Thai options might be around and was surprised to find this listed, with very good reviews. Finding the Sushi Bistro however is a bit of a trick: it's located on the very far side of a Publix shopping center off Highway-16. If you pull in and are facing the Publix itself, look for the Pizza Hut and nail salon, then go right around the corner from there--like take a sharp right at the end of the side where the Pizza Hut is, and you'll discover there are a few more businesses on this far side, including a dentist, lawyer, and and and--our elusive sushi bar. Seriously kids, it's hard to find. I almost left before finding it, and the façade of the building is very small and doesn't stand out, either. Once inside though, the interior is very warm and welcoming--very inspired by traditional Japanese interior architecture (something I can claim to know a little about as I wrote a thesis on architecture in animé in college--yeah, seriously). The attention-to-detail is impressive and the whole experience is cozy, wabi-sabi, and really makes the best of what's not a whole lot of space. Instead of feeling small, it feels personal. They did right with this, they did. The service is fine, if not outstanding. Some of the staff seem to have a slight bit of difficulty with English, though. As to the food, I ordered the Japanese spring rolls, two sushi rolls, and several nigiri. My friend (who despite being from the area was utterly no help in locating the restaurant, btw) ordered three rolls. Everything was very good. The yellowtail roll (which I had them add scallions to) was a little lacking on flavor but the bagel roll's salmon flavor tasted very fresh, came through very well. The salmon nigiri I ordered--both smoked and fresh--also was of high quality. Now the spring roll, something that many places--especially in sushi bars--would be overlooked and receive little attention in the kitchen, was simply superb. Hot, fresh, and filled with flavor. Overall, very impressed. Why not five stars instead of five then? Because, and this is hard for me, I have reviewed so many sushi bars, I'm not able to say this was truly one of the very best ever, but for its location and such, it's quite outstanding. I would say, four and a half stars I guess. It's not a Kyo-ya level of sushi, but it's very good and the atmosphere is so nice and welcoming.

OMG! This was one of the best visits we've had here and we are regulars. I ordered 1 oz of Kobe beef as my appetizer then the Sashimi Martini and the Yankee Roll for my meal. Hubby had the pork gyoza and Power Roll. Both the sashimi martini and Yankee rolls were freakin awesome! Lots of yum yum sounds while I ate. I was pleased at the quantity of sashimi in the martini mixed with avocado and mango. The Yankee roll is worth the price of $13.95. The sauce that comes with it is incredible too! Hubs said the Power roll was good and definitely something he'd order again. We love their gyoza and it was great as usual. Kobe was very tender and flavorful. All in all, food was great as usual and of course we'll be back. Have no fear, the majority of their rolls are very reasonably priced and their sashimi prices are better than a place closer to where we live.

Wonderful, fresh sushi at a pretty decent price! Service was fast and quality of food was on point! I was in town for a conference, but wish there was a place like this near me!

Sushi Friday's!!! We drive pass our local Sushi place to come here. Fish is fresh and they have uni. The staff and owners are so friendly. I look forward every week to come here.

We love sushi and love trying new spots. We've traveled to different places. I can't say this is on top of my list. It's really just okay. Hibachi chef was very nice and funny but can't say the same about the waitress. My "specialty" roll was regular. Did not enjoy it. Hibachi was alright. This may be the best around according to yelp. I didn't have lots of choices to to around here.

Not really impressed. Sushi was blasé. We came later in the evening, and it just wasn't a great experience. I'd be willing to try them out again maybe during the day.

The food was good tasting, but the order was messed up. In addition, the appetizer was super small for $16 and I asked ahead of time about the size. In total, good tasting food with below average service and pricy for what you get.

Excellent service, great food. Amongst the members of the party there was quite a variety of dishes: Tempura chicken and veggies, hibachi chicken, multiple sushi rolls. Zero complaints.
